UNIS has officially sold out the online release event slots for their highly anticipated Japan 1st Mini Album, "UNI☆Sparkle!". The massive demand for the rookie group's Japanese release has also caused Tower Records to list the physical album's pre-orders as completely unavailable. The sellout comes as the eight-member group gears up to drop its first Japanese mini album on July 31, with an online fan event tied to the release still scheduled for August.

Comeback Details and Concept

UNI☆Sparkle! is framed as a showcase of "UNIS’ sparkling glow," built around a Japanese kawaii Heisei-era aesthetic. The five-track set includes lead single "ギミサマ☆" (GimmeSummer☆), "BBYBBY," the HoneyWorks-penned "もしもし" (Moshi Moshi), the Koresawa-penned "幸せになんかならないでね" (mwah…), and a Japanese version of "SWICY." According to Tower Records' product listing, the summer-y lead track was written and composed by Okajima Kanata and Carlos K., with choreography from Makita Sako.

'UNI☆Sparkle!' Release Event Details and Perks

Per the official UNIS Japan fanclub announcement, sets purchased through the UNIS JAPAN OFFICIAL LIMITED STORE (a regular plus first-press edition bundle, ¥5,500 per set) came bundled with tiered perks: a 40-second one-on-one video call per set bought, a 60-second video call plus a mailed signed postcard for every two sets, and a random solo trading card — one of eight designs — with each album. A "W-Chance" draw will additionally hand 16 winners a 3-minute video call, with results going out August 6. The notice cautioned that stock was limited and sales "may be ended early" once the event participation cap is reached, even within the stated sales window. That window ran July 27 at 6 p.m. through August 3 at 11:59 p.m., ahead of the online sessions themselves on August 25 at 7 p.m. via LINE.

Retailer Availability and Fan Reaction

As of July 28, Tower Records' pages for the standard edition (¥2,200, catalog ABMT-001) and both first-press limited editions, Type-A and Type-B (¥3,300 each, ABMT-002 and ABMT-003), all display the same status: currently unable to be ordered online, though a handful of physical stores still show stock for in-person pickup reservations. Combined with the closed-out status of the fanclub's event bundles, the listings point to the first pressing clearing through pre-order demand well ahead of the album's general July 31 street date.

With W-Chance winners set to be revealed August 6 and the online talk and sign sessions locked in for August 25, the next open question is whether AbemaTV and UNIS' label F&F Entertainment will restock physical copies before the album officially hits shelves.
