UNIS' "GimmeSummer☆" Gets Early Choreography Drop; Fans Get First Look at School-Style Concept Shots
Choreographer Saco Makita gave EverAfters an early look at the "GimmeSummer☆" dance challenge, posting the full routine to her TikTok, ahead of the group's Japanese mini album rollout. The reveal lands just as UNIS also wraps concept photography for that same release, keeping the group's Japanese debut era firmly in motion.
The Choreography Goes Up Early
"GimmeSummer☆" (ギミサマ) is the pre-release single for UNIS's debut Japanese mini album "UNI☆Sparkle!," and its choreography has already been credited to Makita in official materials. The performance was created by the Japanese choreographer, who is known for viral dance challenges including "Kawaii Dake ja Dame Desu ka?" and "Sukisugite Metsu." Coverage of the song's original reveal described the routine as built around easy-to-follow signature moves and energetic choreography, and Makita's own TikTok post follows that same made-for-challenge design.

Album Rollout Picks Up Speed
The choreography drop comes right as UNIS's school-style concept photos for the mini album wrap, giving fans their clearest look yet at the era's visual direction. "GimmeSummer☆" was pre-released at midnight on July 17, ahead of the full mini album, as agency F&F Entertainment leaned into a strategy meant to build anticipation while priming public expectations for the group's Japanese outing. The mini album itself is scheduled for release on July 31 and marks UNIS's formal debut in the Japanese market.
What's Actually Inside "UNI☆Sparkle!"
The mini album will ship in three separate physical editions. The standard edition retails at 2,200 yen and comes packaged with one random trading card drawn from a 21-card unit set. Two limited "Type-A" and "Type-B" versions, each priced at 3,300 yen and packaged in a sleeve case, instead include four limited trading cards apiece, randomly pulled from a seven-card set of individual member solo cards.
Physical purchases will also anchor the release-event rollout: buyers of eligible copies at Tower Records locations can receive an additional area-exclusive trading card, part of a four-design set tied to each tour stop across Kansai, Tokai, and Kanto from August 1 to August 11, including two dates at Tower Records Shibuya.
