UNIS Nabs No. 3 on USEN Daily, Top 5 Weekly: Seowon Drops Comeback Hints
UNIS's "GimmeSummer☆" has climbed into the top 5 of USEN's weekly Oshi-katsu Request ranking while holding at No. 3 on the daily chart. The run comes on the heels of a strong August, after agency F&F Entertainment reported the song's parent album broke into Japan's Oricon and Billboard Japan album charts.
USEN's Oshi-katsu Request is a free song-voting service run by Japan's USEN broadcast network. It updates daily, weekly, and monthly. Votes are counted daily, and the weekly chart's top 20 songs air in streets and stores across Japan for one week.
GimmeSummer☆ Holds Steady and Boosts UNIS's Billboard Japan Odds
As of Aug. 26, "GimmeSummer☆" sits in the No. 3 spot for daily and No. 5 for the week of August 20-26, per USEN's chart page. This comes after the song sweeps the No. 8 spot for the week of August 13-19. The song leads UNIS's first Japanese mini-album, "UNI☆Sparkle!," which came out July 31.
That USEN traction could help the group on bigger Japanese charts. USEN's own content chief told Billboard Japan that his team watches both the USEN charts and Billboard Japan rankings, tracking week-to-week movement. Strong USEN airplay often signals rising listener demand that feeds into Billboard Japan's sales and streaming data.
F&F Entertainment said the album hit No. 4 on Japan's Oricon Daily Album Chart and No. 15 on Billboard Japan's Top Album Sales chart right after release. It also topped the iTunes J-pop album chart in Canada and the Philippines, according to the agency's own report.

Seowon's Cryptic Clip Fuels Comeback Talk
UNIS maknae, or youngest member, Seowon has fans buzzing over a different kind of update. In a clip shared by the fan account @AStoryWithNoEnd on X, Seowon broke into a few seconds of unreleased choreography after the fan asked for a comeback spoiler. She also claims that the spoiler is real, slipping in that the song’s release will bring EverAfters “a little bit of surprise."
F&F Entertainment has not confirmed that detail, so it remains fan speculation for now. The agency has already locked in UNIS's next date. Whether that release is the "something" Seowon teased remains an open question that EverAfters will be chasing down.
